At Carlton North Primary School, in addition to our classroom learning programs, we offer a range of activities and programs to support the engagement and extension of all students. These include:

School Improvement Leaders volunteer to raise awareness among their peers about sustainability and respect for the environment.

Junior School Council is an opportunity for students to be elected by their peers and be part of a group that organises charity fundraising .

Instrumental Music Program offers students from Grade 1 onwards the opportunity to learn a range of instruments through private tutors and participate and perform regularly in school music groups.

Library Monitors are involved in the practical running of the library, especially during the busy lunchtime sessions.

Little Bookroom Group where selected students, with library staff and a teacher, visit a local bookshop and make decisions about books to bought for the library.

Biennial School Production involve students in a whole school musical production, culminating in two performances off-site for families and friends.

Chess Club is run one a week at lunch times for interested students by an experienced chess teacher and accomplished chess player from Chess Ed.

Biennial Art Exhibition celebrates and showcases students’ work in a school-wide event.

Special Events and Celebrations through the year with students typically involved in cross age and whole school activities. Some examples are Book Week and Italian Day.

Indigenous RAP Team The key focus is towards the reconciliation in education, to develop and implement a Reconciliation Action Plan.
